Beef sirloin recipe (striploin steak) in a pan

Ingredients:

  • 1 beef tenderloin (about 250-300 g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. beef tallow
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • Fresh rosemary and thyme
  • 100 g of asparagus
  • 100 g of cherry tomatoes

Method of preparation:

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat lard in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  3. Add the garlic, rosemary and thyme to the pan during the last few minutes of cooking.
  4. In another pan, cook the asparagus and cherry tomatoes with a little olive oil, salt and pepper until golden.
  5. Serve the steak with the asparagus and tomatoes on the side.
