Baked Beef T-Bon Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 beef T-Bon steak (about 450 g)
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried garlic powder

For the garnish:

  • 2 carrots, coarsely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1 large potato, roughly chopped
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 3 tbsp. beef tallow
  • Salt and pepper

Method of preparation:

  1. Heat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary and garlic powder. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  3. Arrange the vegetables in a baking tray, sprinkle with beef tallow, salt and pepper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  4. Add the steak on top of the vegetables and return the pan to the oven.
  5. Bake the steak until desired doneness (about 15-20 minutes for medium rare).
  6. Remove from the oven and let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving.
